Tanner De Witt seeks Finance Manager (15+ years’ experience)

Tanner De Witt is looking to recruit a motivated Finance Manager to join our independent, established, Hong Kong law firm.

Key requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Higher Diploma in Accounting
  • Minimum 15 years’ experience handling full set of accounts, preferably in a law firm or professional services
  • Must have experience managing a team
  • Must be able to motivate people, mediate conflicts and train juniors
  • Attentive to details, strong analytical skills, interpersonal skills and sense of responsibility
  • Experience using accounting computer software such as Aderant would be an advantage
  • Proficient in MS Excel & Word
  • Good command of English and Chinese
  • Member of HKICPA/ACCA is an advantage
  • Immediate availability is preferred

Key responsibilities

  • Work with your team of Accountants as a “team captain”
  • Handle full set of accounts and bank reconciliations independently
  • Handle general daily accounting entries, full spectrum of office accounting support, month-end closing, monthly reports, loan applications
  • Maintain routine accounting operations such as issuing cheques & updating bank balances, bank reconciliations
  • Communicate clearly and timely on payments to the relevant parties within the firm
  • Maintain organized filing system for accounting records
  • Maintain good accounting and operation controls to comply with audit requirements
  • Liaise with external auditors and other professional parties on annual audit
  • Assist others in handling accounting-related work
  • Maintain reimbursements, petty cash and petty cash records
  • Update system exchange rates weekly
  • Undertake ad-hoc duties as assigned
