Press release: Tanner De Witt further grows commercial disputes practice with appointment of consultant Richard Wilmot

Tanner De Witt confirms with great pleasure the appointment of commercial litigation lawyer Richard Wilmot as Consultant to the firm’s Dispute Resolution practice. The appointment is effective today.

Richard is a dual-qualified lawyer in Hong Kong and England and Wales. He has established his reputation in Hong Kong as a dispute resolution lawyer with international firms over the last twenty years.

Richard specialises in commercial, trading and investment dispute resolution both in Hong Kong and internationally. He frequently leads the resolution of complex multi-jurisdictional commercial cases involving debt recovery, sale of goods, shareholder and joint venture issues. He is particularly known for his effective, pragmatic advice and strong relationships with clients.

Richard is an Accredited Mediator with the Hong Kong International Arbitration Centre (HKIAC) and an advocate for ADR. Richard read Law at King’s College London where he also completed a Master’s Degree in Law (LL.M) before then taking his Solicitors’ Final Examinations at the College of Law, Chancery Lane.

Richard’s appointment to the firm at this time demonstrates our commitment to and Hong Kong’s continued investment in the growth of established and reliable dispute resolution practices and the network of specialists engaged in this area.
